Scripture speaks of two humanities: the old humanity in Adam, associated with sin and death, and the new humanity in Christ, with justification and life.
Christ is the last Adam and the Head of the new humanity. While the first Adam can generate only dying, the second brings forth life. Vivification goes beyond resurrection: it is giving life beyond the reach of death.
In Him, the reconciliation of all with God will ultimately be accomplished. Death will be abolished, and God will attain His ultimate goal: All in all.
